The Rekluse 442-110 purple spring is a pressure-plate spring. Unlike the EXP adjustment springs (silver, red, blue, gold) which tune the EXP disk engagement curve, the purple spring sets the overall clamping pressure applied to the clutch pack. It provides a medium preload, allowing smoother, more progressive engagement while reducing excessive slip. Its purpose is to stabilize pressure-plate behavior and ensure consistent power transfer.
